The SR 580 Loose Fitting Hard Hat with the SR 584 Welding Face Shield together with the SR 500 belt mountedPowered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) protects against particulates, gases and vapors, or a combination ofboth. It is designed to be used in oxygen sufficient and non-immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH)environments.The SR 500 PAPR system functions as an alternative to Air Purifying Respirators (APR) in all situations for whichthese are recommended. This applies particularly to work that is hard, warm or of long-duration. The SR 580/SR 584 also protects against radiation and spatter during welding, flame-cutting, grinding and similar work.The design makes them useful for work in confined and inaccessible areas.Accessories in the form of automatic welding lenses, correction lenses, neck and chest protection and hoseprotection.
